A Prayer For Owen Meany

In chapter 4 of "A Prayer For Owen Meany", on page 169, Owen, Johnny, and Sagamore played football. Just as Owen hadn't been able to hit the basebell, he did and an unfortunate event happenened, Tabitha's death. Owen didn't know how to play football either. But he kicked the ball and they all chased after it, including the dog. And that led to Sagamore's untimely death. I think Owen is prone to causing "accidents".
In chapter 3, Tabitha's death wasimplied at her wedding. Owen's proposal to Tabitha was a "mini tombstone" it had her wedding date on it, and the other side left blank, it was a hint that it should be filled in at the appororiate time. Tabitha loved it, just like everything else Owen did or gave to her. Johnny montioned that she'd even be happy if Owen gave her a GRAVESTONE(name of the twon they lived in) with her death to be filled in at the appropriate time, she'd have loved that too. And that "time" wasn't too far from her wedding day either.
In chapter 3, The Angel, Owen spent the night over Johnny's house, during the night he felt awfully sick, he went into Tabitha's room as instructed by Johnny and believed to have seen an angel. The Angel was there to take Tabitha's soul, and he feels that because he interrupted God's work, he no has to finish the assignment by killing Tabitha. That's the reason for Owen Meany, he was born for a reason, and he called himself God's instrument. just as the baseball had been the instrument of death. Owen Meany in my opinion is the Angel of Death.
In Chapter 5 of "A Prayer For Owen Meany", it begins to talk about Christ, and Owen later played the lead part, Little Lord Jesus. In this chapter, Owen became a "Christ figure". However when he told his father that he had a new role, instead of being the Angel, he was Christ. His mother looked at him in awe but said nothing, and his father told him that he was happier when he was an angel. Also, on page 182 there were painted wood fighres resembling the play about the Christ. Except this one was in "symbols". The part that was about Owen was where it said "creche's most ominous message was that the little lord jeses himself was missing: the crib was empty- that was why virgin mary had turned her mutilated face away". The virgin mary must be Owen's mother, and in fact she is. In the last chapter, after Owen has dies, Mr. Meany explains to John that Owen had a "virgin birth" and he was just like "The Christ Child". Owen's parents told Owen at about the age of eleven or twelve, that he was just like The Christ Child. That emphasizes Owens connections to Christ and the many duties put on his shoulders to be carried out before his timed death. Mrs. Meany was the Virgin Mary, nothing else, she served no real purpose. John was aghast to see that Mr. Meany just like himself was just anoter Joseph himself. A disciple of GOD.

  3. Owen doesn't believe anything about coincidences, and his voice happens to be like it is, but for a reason
